Berkshire South

This forged and welded stainless steel sculpture entitled Lola Sculpture was commissioned by the Jaffe Foundation to honor Edwin Jaffe, founder of the Berkshire South Regional Community Center in Great Barrington, Ma. Ed loved to photograph flowers and every year sent out over 500 cards for the holidays of a flower. To honor Ed, Barney Zeitz took one of his images and built a nearly 9 foot floral that takes on a figurative quality, intending to give a sense of "community" in the piece. Organic forms of trees, floral, animal, human, fish, and bird can be felt if not seen.
